JERMICHAEL FINLEY AND HIS AGENT HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO
There are things that are said that are really stupid, and then there are things that are beyond comprehension.
The agent for Green Bay Packers tight end, Jermichael Finley, has entered that "beyond comprehension" stratosphere.
In tweeting criticisms of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, Finley's agent, Blake Baratz, insinuated that Chico's favorite son and reigning league MVP Aaron Rodgers is not a good leader. While calling him a great quarterback, Baratz says greatness doesn't translate into leadership and that Rodgers doesn't make his teammates better.
These comments are so off-the-charts that one has to wonder whether Baratz had been pounding libations before opening his mouth. Rodgers made his teammates better by throwing 45 touchdowns against only six interceptions last year in the Green Bay's 15-1 season. Oh, and he also led the team in rushing multiple times. Is it Rodgers'
fault Mr. Baratz, that your client moonlights as a mason and drops passes routinely now.
It is one thing to issue warranted criticism. It is another to criticize the one player who directly responsible for making your client look good. I have to believe that Finley can not be happy with Baratz' comments and wouldn't be surprised if Finley is looking for alternative representation soon.
