The Web fire has now burned more than 175 acres near Forest Ranch. It is 15 percent contained. The fire started northwest of Highway 32 near Web Hollow and Big Chico Creek just after 1 Monday afternoon. According to Cal Fire, the blaze is in an area with heavy timber and access is limited by steep and rough terrain. ONE INJURY HAS BEEN REPORTED SINCE THE FIRE STARTED. THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO EVACUATION ORDERS AND THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF STRUCTURES IMMEDIATELY THREATENED BY THE BLAZE. NO ROAD CLOSURES ARE IN PLACE AT THIS TIME ALTHOUGH CALFIRE IS ADVISING DRIVERS TO USE CAUTION ON HWY 32 and there is talk that if the fire burns up a steep canyon, crews will set a back fire to move the fire AWAY from Highway 32.
