West Nile Virus continues to be a problem to the Northstate, with one fatality and three new cases. The fatality came as an adult in Shasta County reportedly became the second person in the state to die of the virus this year. The first reported case was of a 74 year old woman in Sacramento County. Meanwhile, Butte County Public Health confirms three new cases cropped up in Butte County in the past week. That makes five in the county this year. Officials say all of the cases involve patients over 50 years old.
