Lassen National Park Fires

Fire crews continue to battle the Eiler Fire. The fire started 12 miles southeast of Burney in the Lassen National Forest last Thursday evening. Over 31 thousand acres have burned with 8 residences, 1 commercial building and 20 outbuildings destroyed by the blaze. The fire is now 45% contained. According to Cal Fire, with the exception of Lassen National Forest all highway closures and evacuations have been lifted. 
The Bald Fire is close to full containment. The blaze stared last Wednesday evening after lightning struck in an area southeast of Fall River Mills in the Lassen National Forest in Shasta County. The fire has burned almost 40 thousand acres of old brush, timber stringers and grass. The fire is 91% contained and is estimated to be fully contained sometime today.
