Butte County Officials have received notice from the California Department of State Hospitals that they are seeking to house Fraisure Smith in Chico. Smith has been convicted as a sexually violent predator that had been committed to a hospital in Solano County Smith couldn't be place into a residence in Solano County due to public outcry.

Sheriff Kory Honea and Butte County DA Mike Ramsey will attend a hearing in Solano County in May to make their objection to the placement of Smith in Butte County.
