Fire Training A Sign That Warm Weather Isn't Far Behind

Chico Firefighters got put through their paces Monday in Upper Bidwell Park. Division Chief Jessie Alexander says it amounts to wildland fire refresher training.

Those four exercises include how to lay attacking fire hose, the entering of a structure and deployment of personnel into a burning structure and a mobile attachment exercise for laying fire hose during extreme fire conditions. Alexander expects it takes about 2 hours per company and will go on into next month.
