Chico School Board Sending Bond Measure Before Voters In November

The board voted unanimously at Wednesday’s meeting to put the 152 million dollar bond measure on November's ballot. The measure would help to fund the district's facilities master plan. The funds raised would be used to update and upgrade elementary schools in the district. Many of the older schools in the district have leaky roofs and need upgraded in electrical and plumbing systems. Reports indicate the funding from the bond measure will stay local and will not be used for administrative salaries.
