Chain Reaction Crash In Redding Leaves 3-year-old Injured

A Buick driven by 26-year-old Shilee Davidson reportedly merged unsafely onto the southbound lane of Interstate 5 from Cypress Avenue and collided with a semi truck after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Davidson's car then went into another lane and collided with a Nissan pickup. The truck was sent off the road where it collided with a tree. A 3-year-old girl in the truck was taken to Mercy Medical Center with severe head trauma. The driver of the truck, indentified as 31-year-old Russell McWilliams is reportedly the new head coach of the varsity football team and will be a social science teacher at Enterprise High School. He suffered minor injuries. No word any other injuries.
