The Quartz Hill Fire was reported near Quartz Hill Road around 2:30 Saturday afternoon. Cal Fire crews contained the blaze to about 20 acres. Houses were reported threatened but no structures were reported damaged. There were also no reports of injuries.

Another vegetation fire was reported Saturday afternoon in Shasta County. That fire was reported in the area of Buenaventura Boulevard and Highway 299 and it burned less than a quarter of an acre.
