Police say they're focused on mitigating violence and other ciminal activity along with crowd managment between 6 pm Friday to 6 am Wednesday morning. This will include additional police staffing with assistance from other law enforcement agencies.
Authorities are asking the public to follow the Special Event enforcement guidelines especially in and around the Downtown and South Campus area. According to a Chico Police
Department press release, there will glass free zone will be in effect from Big Chico Creek, south to E. and W 7th streets and Flume Street, west to Cedar Street, beginning Thursday, October 26 at 6 pm through Sunday October 29 at 6 pm. There will also be zero tolerance for alcohol-related crimes.
