Pipe Bomb Found...

    A pipe bomb was discovered in Chico Wednesday as authorities
searched the apartment of a man shot and killed during a standoff
this week.
    The device was reportedly located in the apartment bedroom
of Wayne Renner.  The neighborhood off Burnap Avenue was evacuated.
    The local bomb squad was called in to detonate the pipe bomb.
    Renner was shot and killed Tuesday following a day-long standoff.
