More Than A Dozen People Were Detained at a Pot Grow in Concow

Butte County detectives served two search warrents, earlier this week, on a suspected illegal marijuana garden on Paiute Drive and in connection to a missing persons case involving Robert Gonzalez - who was found dead this week in a cannon in the Concow area.

381 marijuana plants were found along with over 522 pounds of processed pot. 39 firearms, including 6 illegal weapons were also allegedly discovered.

According to a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, multiple people were detained and questioned at the site. Several of those detained were from other countries including Spain, Austria, and New Zealand. Garretson Murphy of Oroville was arrested for multiple felony charges. Ruben Verdugo of Chico was cited and released for a misdemeanor charge of growing more than six marijuana plants. The others were also released.
