Bear Trapped in Chico Garage Tranquilized

Chico Police say a 300 pound bear was tranquilized and released to the mountains east of the city after roaming a local neighborhood Sunday.  Police say the bear climbed backyard fences around the Springfield Manor neighborhood and officers trapped it inside a garage. Officials with the Department of Fish and Game hit the bear with a tranquilizer gun, tagged it, and took it out of the city.
