Man Accused of Killing his Mother in Chico Appears in Court

A man accused of killing his mother in Chico last year and dumping her body in a septic tank has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.  The Chico ER reports Anthony Yee entered the plea in court Thursday...his defense attorney also entered a not guilty plea in the case.  Yee is accused of murder in the death of his mother last December.   A November hearing will focus on Yee's mental health status.
