Oroville Plant to Shut Down


An Oroville plant that burns agricultural and forest waste will close.  The Chico ER is reporting Pacific Oroville Power, Inc. could close in December, which would have about an 11 million dollar per year impact on the local economy.   The plant manager told the newspaper its closing for a number of reasons that make producing electricity unprofitable.
