Cottonwood Man to Stand Trial for Murder

A Cottonwood man accused of killing his wife has been ordered to stand trial.  Mark Duenas is accused of fatally stabbing his wife in May in the bedroom of their home.    Redding.com reports during a preliminary hearing, the prosecution claims Duenas admitted to the murder on a 911 call.  But the defense denies that allegation and says Duenas told dispatchers he "found his wife sick."   Duenas will return to court in November.
