Lawmakers Review Decision to Let NorCal Wildfire Burn

Two Northstate lawmakers are reviewing the decision to let a forest fire burn instead of fighting it. Northstate Congressman Wally Herger and Congressman Tom McClintock are holding a review Wednesday in Sacramento. Officials say the National Park Service allowed the Reading Fire in Lassen Volcanic National Park to burn in July for ecological benefits. But the blaze grew into a wildfire burning more than 28-thousand acres, destroyed private property, and cost more than 15-million dollars to fight.
