Oroville Woman Arrested for Ax Attack

An Oroville woman is accused of chopping her son's bedroom door down with an ax and attacking him. Oroville Police say 42-year old Shirley Booth reportedly swung the ax several times at her 20-year-old son's head and body before he escaped through a window Thursday. Police say Booth barricaded herself inside the home. Officers climbed through a window and detained her following a struggle. The son said his mother had been smoking meth.
