Chico residents help police catch a porch "pirate." On Wednesday a homeowner in northwest Chico had a package stolen from his front porch. The victim's surveillance cameras captured video of the suspect and his black and white Jeep. The victim then posted those videos on social media in an attempt to identify the suspect. On Thursday a homeowner was on Windham Way heard his side yard gate closing and went out to investigate. He also saw a black and white Jeep leaving his residence. Officers arrived and located the Jeep. Officers searched the Jeep and found property believed to have been stolen. According to a Chico Police press reales, the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Joshua Morris was arrested for petty theft and for an outstanding warrant from Glenn County.
