RED BLUFF, Calif. (AP) - Red Bluff police have identified the 42-year-old man who died after he struggled with officers who handcuffed him. Authorities say Daniel Lyons Myers of Red Bluff died early Monday morning. Officials are awaiting results of toxicology tests to determine the cause of death. Police say when officers tried to handcuff Myers, he resisted and began showing signs of serious medical distress. CPR and other life-saving measures failed to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Red Bluff, Tehama County and federal authorities are investigating the incident.
