Felony hit and run charges have been filed against a Gridley farmer in the death of a Durham man last month. The District Attorney's office has charged 71 year old Anton "Tony" Mardesich with the November 14th kiling of Rick Magee. The 61 year old Magee was reportedly on his bicycle on the Midway when he was struck and thrown to the pavement, causing massive head trauma and leading to his death. D.A. Mike Ramsey says Mardesich brought his SUV in for repairs, and when several things didn't add up authorites were notified.
Ramsey adds Mardesich is expected to plead guilty today to felony hit and run causing death and insurance fraud.
