Woman Reportedly Held Against Her Will in Oroville Attic

Butte County authorities say an Oroville man allegedly held a woman in an attic for two weeks and sexually assaulted her. The Sheriff's Office says deputies found the victim Monday during a welfare check at a home on Lincoln Boulevard. The woman said she was sexually assaulted repeatedly. 29 year old Lawson Rankin was arrested on charges including torture, false imprisonment, and rape.
