The Butte Strong Fund has awarded 11 new grants this month.
$268,400 went to Butte College for scholarships for 50 students as well as for equipment and laptops for the Applied Construction, Construction Management programs HVACR.
The economic development agency - 3 CORE received a $300,000 grant to establish a business assistance loan fund for fire affected businesses in the ridge and Concow areas.
Butte County Fire Safe Council received $50,000 to fund a coordinator position and grant writing support for a program that hopes to determine how to reutilze trees and biomass burned in the Camp Fire.
The Paradise Alliance Church received $30,000 to provide a trailer with eight showers, four washing machines, and four dryers for Camp Fire survivors. Those facilities will be available four hours a day, five days a week.

According to the North Valley Community Foundation, the Butte Strong Fund is a partnership of three major fundraising efforts by the NVCF, Aaron Rodgers Norcal Fire Recovery Fund, and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
