The Chico Police Chief says Connecticut families have experienced
a shocking nightmare following the deadly shooting at Sandy Hook
Elementary School.
In a statement, Chief Kirk Trostle says as a community, we must focus
on prevention through awareness of danger signs and behavioral warnings,
along with continued training of school staff and law enforcement.
The Chief says the local police department has a long standing
partnership with Chico Unified...and the two share a goal of protecting
children.
The Police Department says its involved in planning and updating the
school district's incident response team protocols, holds an active
