A parolee from Biggs is arrested in Redding following a chase through the Mt. Shasta Mall. Police say they tried to pull over 46-year old Joseph Mattos in the Sears parking lot Sunday. He allegedly took off, hitting another vehicle and injuring the driver. Mattos then fled on foot, entered JC Penny and stole a jacket to disguise himself. Police say citizens helped track Mattos to the Red Robin parking lot where police used batons and a taser to arrest him. Mattos faces several charges including drug possession.
