Tehama County Man Accused of Assaulting Deputies

A Gerber man faces a slew of charges after allegedly attacking two deputies. The Tehama County Sheriffs office says it responded to a disturbance at a Red Bluff home Tuesday night. 24-year old Jose Hernandez was allegedly hiding in a closet. Deputies say he immediately attacked them when he was discovered, biting one deputy and trying to take a weapon from the other.
