A Butte County law enforcement official cleared in the shooting last year of Magalia resident Wayne Oxley. That's the finding of a special investigation into the December 20th incident. District Attorney Mike Ramsey says the investigation showed that Oxley was not angry at law enforcement, he just decided that he'd rather die by what's known as suicide by cop. The matter was looked into by the county's special Officer Involved Shooting Protocol Team. It found Butte County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dineen was not criminally liable for Oxley's death.
