A Chico Police officer locates a destructive device during an arrest. Police say an officer spotted a woman with a warrant walking around W. 9th and Mars Avenue Monday morning. During a search of 24 year old Suzanna Ponce, police say they found an explosive device. The local bomb squad was called in to handle the device.
Meanwhile, Chico Police probing a reported robbery attempt on a local bike path. Police say a man was confrontedby two suspects Monday afternoon near Pillsbury Road. One man had a gun and demanded the victim's money. The victim told investigators he fought with the pair...and the suspects ran off on foot.
