Former Jail Employee Facing Trial in Butte County

A former Butte County Jail employee will face a trial on bribery charges. The E-R reports a judge Monday said their was enough evidence to hold Efrain Mendoza for trial. Prosecutors say Mendoza falsified the community service records in exchange for cash and services. Mendoza maintained records for the Sheriff's Work Alternative Program.
