Man Pleads No Contest to Fatal Hit and Run in Paradise

A Paradise man has pleaded no contest to hit and run, causing the death of a pedestrian leaving church. The District Attorney's Office says 57 year old Timothy McCollum was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, but instead entered the plea. Prosecutors say McCollum hit 73 year old Myron Bolstead who was crossing Clark Road in February, but claimed he hit a dog during a police interview. The DA's Office says McCollum will be sentenced in May and faces up to 4 years in prison.
