Attys Push City to Find Solutions
Lawyers for citizens groups continue to criticize how the City of Chico has mishandled the homeless issue. Attorney Rob Berry represents the group "CHICO STEWARDS FOR PARKS AND WATERWAYS " He says despite the city saying in
federal court they don't have any open space to house the homeless.....Berry says Chico's city website says something different. It classifies 550 acres of
city-owned open space property.
Berry says there are places to re-locate homeless populations...He says the challenge is to get city leaders to fend off the predicted pushback from neighborhoods and residents
