Slow growth is forecast for Butte County in the year ahead. That outlook is reflected in the county spending plan, which County Supervisors are expected to ratify this Tuesday. County Administrator Paul Hahn says for the first time in more than 5 years, the outlook for the county is good. He says there will no major layoffs to the county's 22 hundred member work force. The county General Fund is at 140 million dollars. Hahn says what helped this year is the continual economic recovery and no major cuts from the state.
