Butte Co Supervisors Approve Funding To keep Stations Open
The Board of Supervisors approved a one-time contingency payment of $1.3 million that'll go toward supporting resources that were otherwise in jeopardy of being cut or reduced. This includes three Amador fire stations that will now be staffed in the winter, thanks to today's decision. The stations include Berry Creek, Stirling City and Jarbo Gap – all of which needed to be staffed by full-time CAL FIRE employees last winter. It also means a fire captain position is restored in the county.
