The Butte County Mosquito and Vector Control District announced mosquito season is ramping up. Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus (WNV) have been found widespread throughout the valley floor of Butte County. They have received confirmation that 14 mosquito pools, and four sentinel chickens have tested positive with WNV.
