A Chico woman has been sentenced to two years in state prison after violating her probation on two separate occasions, according to the district attorney's office. Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey says Gail Hemmingsen, 63, of Chico, previously pled no contest to four separate charges of driving under the influence and a misdemeanor for attempted criminal threats. Ramsey says the multiple DUI offense, and criminal threats, stem from a string of drunken incidents Hemmingsen accumulated between September and November 2022.
