Silicon Valley Tech more Layoffs
More tech layoffs are sending Californians to the unemployment line. Four more companies are cutting a combined 17-hundred jobs and had previously laid off many more. Google is laying off 20 data scientists in its voice assistant division. It was the third round of cuts at the Alphabet subsidiary. Cloud data company Informatica out of Redwood City is cutting ten-percent of the workforce, around 550 positions after recently cutting 450 others. SF-based e-commerce marketplace Faire is laying of 250 people and Viasat from Carlsbad will layoff 800 workers.
