Another insurance company is ending coverage in California. Farmers Direct Property and Casualty stopped writing new policies in September, when it gave up its Certificate of Authority. That includes home, auto and renters. The company will continue serving existing customers but won't renew starting next month. This will leave tens of thousands looking for a new provider, though most are expected to get offers under the same parent company.
