Oroville prepares for Oro Dam Blvd Improvement Project

The city Oroville will begin improvements on Oro Dam Blvd (162) by adding sidewalks and driveway approaches on the south side of the road. They will eventually also add curb gutters, make drainage improvements, and add new traffic signals. Come early summer, there are going to be major changes to Oro Dam Blvd. It's a $7 million project. The money comes from several sources, including the Butte County Association of Governments, local transportation funds, and SB-1 and CalTrans grant money. The project is expected to take up to 12 months to complete. The last step is for Caltrans to add street lighting and striping.
