The Chico City Council accepts a financial report from a third-party auditor. The council members accepted the financial audit from a Sacramento based firm at Tuesday night's meeting. According to the E-R, in order for the city to receive a clean audit for the last fiscal year the city needed to reimburse over $13 dollars in deficits to capital improvement funds. This caused the City's the general fund to be over $7 million dollars the red. The Council says that they need to move forward and that they need to clean up the fiscal mess.
