The incident reportedly happened about 4 AM when Butte County Sheriffs got the call of a woman in distress walking the bridge by Table Mountain Boulevard in Oroville. Deputies reportedly found the woman sitting precariously on the edge of the bridge. Deputies attempted to talk her down but she reportedly would not respond. According to authorities, the woman went off the bridge some 50 feet into the swift flowing river, where she was rescued by Cal Fire and Search and Rescue Teams. She was said to be alert and talking when she was being transported to the hospital.
