The Chico Experience Week aims to bring Chico State students, alumni, parents, and friends together for 10 days of fun, education, and reconnection with friends, the campus, and the wonderful City of Chico. Whether you already live in Chico or haven't been back in a while, you are sure to enjoy The 5th Annual Chico Experience!
Sponsored by the Chico State Alumni Association, The Chico Experience Week will tie together the campus and local organizations and businesses in order to create a menu of activities for a wide range of audiences.

All volunteers must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
Volunteers will return to Trinity Commons for a BBQ lunch.
7:45 am: Meet at Trinity Commons on campus. Must have own transportation
9 am–1 pm: Bidwell Park. Volunteers will walk to site after check-in.
12:30–2:30 pm: Lunch at Trinity Commons

Chico State Alumni Restore Oakland Zoo  ADDED

Let your inner Wildcat ROAR by helping to restore habitats at the Oakland Zoo with the Chico State Bay Area Chapter.  Alumni will refurbish exhibits, plant gardens, and help in and around animal habitats. Most projects will require continual physical exertion throughout the project (but take breaks as needed!).This activity is hosted by the Bay Area Chapter and coordinated by HandsOn Bay Area. Registration is $20 and includes an alumni t-shirt, your HandsOn Bay area registration fee, lunch, and a full day access to the zoo after the volunteers activities conclude at noon.Minimum age requirement - 18+

Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge
September 6-October 17
Chico is competing to be named the “Nation’s Most Outdoorsy School” and we need everyone to help!  The Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge is about communities and student bodies joining together to try and get the most people outside and active. The Outdoor Foundation’s signature program, Outdoor Nation has selected nearly 60 colleges/universities across the US to engage in the 2015 Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge, kicking off September 6th and running through October 17th.
