Giants inch closer to NL West Title and Peyton flops on Monday night

A RUSTY PEYTON MANNING THREW 3 FIRST QUARTER INTERCEPTIONS IN DENVER'S 27-21 LOSS

The San Francisco Giants magic number is now 8 in the NL West. With the Giants 2-1 win on Monday night they are inching ever so closer to the divisional title. Madison Bumgarner pitched six strong innings allowing only one run and Hunter Pence had a tie-breaking single in the sixth giving the Giants their winning margin. Game two of the four-game set  is tonight at AT & T Park. Game time is 7:15. You can hear Kruk and Kuip on 101.7 FM and AM 1340 at 6:45.

Peyton Manning had a disastrous first quarter and spent the rest of the game trying to pull his Broncos out of the hole. Manning's three interceptions set the tone for a 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Despite a spirited 4th quarter comeback, Denver could not get that one big stop defensively to get the ball back, allowing the Falcons to salt the game away.

The Raiders try and pick up the pieces this Sunday at home against the Steelers. With a loss the Raiders would fall to 0-3. The 49ers are riding high after their big win on Sunday night against the Lions, they take on the Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday morning. Game time is 10am.

Friday night sees the Paradise Bobcats traveling to Asgard Yard to take on the Pleasant Valley Vikings. Both teams will come in with records of 2-1. Butte College brings their 3-0 record into a showdown with Delta College in Stockton. Game time is 1pm. Mike Wessels has your pre-game on Fox Sports Chico at 12:45pm
