After what the Oakland A's pulled off this season, the Athletics warrant cinematic consideration. Picked by many to lose 100 games during this 2012 baseball season the A's secured a post-season spot by beating the Texas Rangers last night 4-3. The win, their 92nd of the year, puts the A's in the playoffs for the first time since 2006. If Oakland wins the next two days against Texas, they would secure the American League West Division title. Oakland plays Texas again tonight at 7:05pm
