200 acres will be burned in an area north of Highway 89 east of McCloud. According to the U.S. Forest Service, the burn started Wednesday and will continue today.
Starting today about 12 hundred acres on Green Mountain near Shasta Lake will be burned to remove ground fuels. The burn will reportedly last two days and will total 65 hundred acres.
