A measure known as Laura's Law comes before Butte Supervisors Tuesday. It came from nearby Nevada County, after Laura Wilcox was killed in 2001 by a person suffering from mental illness. County Administrative Officer Paul Hahn says the item will be up for discussion to see if a similar measure is needed in Butte County.

The measure allows for counties to implement court ordered outpatient mental health treatment for certain individuals who have a serious mental disorder.
