The incident reportedly happened around 5 Sunday Evening at a residence in Olivehurst when two Olivehurst men were to sell marijuana to a Citrus Heights man. The man from Citrus Heights, 28-year-old Kenneth Smith, was shot and killed in what authorities are calling a drug deal gone wrong. They arrested 22-year-old Daniel Peters and 44-year-old Randall Orway, both of Olivehurst, for marijuana sales and manufacturing honey oil. Orway has since been released. More charges may come after authorities have processed the scene and reviewed autopsy results. Authorities are also reportedly searching for a man who fled the scene in gold Hyundai.
