25-year-old Cesar Macedo reportedly holed himself up in a residence on Toomes Avenue in Corning on Tuesday. He's suspected of stealing several firearms from that home earlier this month. He was reportedly seen running outside and then went back into the house. Police tried to negotiate with him and when he finally came out again shots were exchanged. Authorities used a taser to subdue him but then more shots were fired, injuring him, as well as an officer and a K9. Macedo will be charged with several felonies, including attempted murder of a police officer.
