A Confrontation In Anderson Leads To A Stabbing

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Eric Strickland, came to a residence on Colverdale Road around 11 Saturday night allegedly wearing a ski mask and armed with multiple weapons.

One of those weapons was a knife which Strickland reportedly used to stab a 26-year-old man and his brother-in-law while they were scuffling with him. The two men reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, along with the knife, officers reportedly found a pistol and an AR-15 assault rifle on Strickland which they say didn't have any serial numbers. Authorities say the assault rifle may have not been registered through a gun dealer.

Strickland told officers that he was only trying to scare the two men.
