The Chico Police Department is currently investigating a train vs. pedestrian collision. According to a Chico PD press release, the collision happened near the Amtrak Train Depot on Orange Street around 6 am. All railroad crossings from West 9th Street to West 1st Street are closed. Police say drivers who need to cross the railroad tracks will have to go to the railroad crossing at West Sacramento Avenue.
