The blaze started as 5 fires that rapidly grew in size off of Pentz Road and Lime Saddle Road around 4:30 Monday afternoon. Fires are burning on both sides of the West Branch of the Feather, Southeast of Paradise and West of Concow.

3 structures were destroyed and 300 are threatened by the fire.
According to Cal Fire, there are evacuation orders for Concow Road from Highway 70 to Jordan Hill, Granite Ridge Road, and Deadwood Road along with Pinkston Canyon Road and all roads off of it. There were also evacuation orders for both sides of Pentz Road between Logo Vista and Missilla Valley.

There are evacuation warings for Nelson Bar, Middleton Lane and Pentz Road from Malibu Drive to Marywood Drive as well as to Canyon View Drive.
There's an evacuation shelter in the gym at the Neighborhood Church in Chico on Notre Dame Boulevard and Cal Fire reports that there will be shelter in place at Feather River Hospital. The North Valley Animal Disaster Group has been activated for animal evacuation needs.

The Town Council announced Monday that road closures will remain in effect until at least tonight. Residents in the area are being advised to use either Clark Road or the Skyway to leave the area.
